Timetable Change Tuesday 22nd to Saturday 26thÂ
Croydon borough schools are on half term and this week, we will be running most of the lessons between 9am and 4pm. This is because the majority of students and parents, welcome this move. The timetable for this week will be posted on Monday afternoon; (login and see timetable for lesson allocation and timings: Music Education | I-Play Music | England (iplaymusic.org)Â
Â
Students of Glenthorne High School (GHS) will also see a change in lesson allocation this week. This is to take into consideration on Friday 25th October. Those lessons will be brought forward to Monday 21st October, see GHS PDF link: Music Education | I-Play Music | England (iplaymusic.org)Â Lessons have also been updated via SOCS.

Lesson Resources & Audio Files
It has been noticed that some IPM student’s have not been on top of things. This week is Assessment Week and this means that all students AND tutors will be assessed on areas of teaching and learning. All students will need to produce the following items: -
Â
1.     Learning Diaries, to check if up to date and marked by tutors, this means the updated autumn Learning Diaries.
2.     USB flash drives, to check whether or not they contain audio files for two contrasting songs.
3.     A PDF copy for RSL song number 1, and another song for number 2.
Â
To reiterate, all students should have both songs saved as audio files, to a USB flash drive. Song 1 should be a song from the RSL Grade book, and song 2 can be either a Free Choice Piece, an original piece, or another song from any other book such as ABRSM, Trinity Rock & Pop; it is highly recommended that the second song should be one that members of the same band can also learn.Â

Advertising Used Music Equipment
For the first time since we have been in existence, we are encouraging students with the help of their parents, to help others with musical instruments and related equipment, by advertising through IPM. It must be stressed that we will NOT be making any profit in anyway shape or form from anyone selling or buying. Images and a short brief message to accompany the photos can be sent by email to admin@iplaymusic.org or by WhatsApp via +44 7437 151102. A PDF link will be attached to the bottom of this news page by tomorrow afternoon.
Â
Learning Tip for this week
Take the time out to watch musical artists that are performing the same songs that you are learning and try to copy them.
KEEP PRACTISING!
Miscellaneous
Over the past few weeks, we noticed some things left behind by students. There is a guitar lead here that doe not belong to us which needs to be collected. Also, there is a USB stick to be claimed.
