I-Play Music Online Learning

Due to latest government regulation I-Play Music will be delivering lessons online throughout the lockdown period - for flexible, accessible learning at home. Once assigned, your tutor will provide a schedule and send over an email Calendar Invite with a link to your lesson prior to each session.

We use Skype and StreamYard platforms to host our online lessons

  • Please create a Skype account upon confirmation of studying with I-Play Music (if you do not already have one).

  • StreamYard links will be sent to your account a minimum of 24 hours before the start of your lesson.

  • If you do not receive a link to your lesson at least 24 hours beforehand, please email admin@iplaymusic.org with any questions.

Please login to your Skype account or connect to StreamYard at least 5 minutes early to ensure possible connectivity issues do not interfere with your lesson start time.

Trouble connecting?

Use the Google Chrome browser for increased functionality.

  • If Google Chrome is not your default browser, right click on the link to choose “open with” then “Google Chrome.”

Ensure your computer is connected to the internet by clicking the wifi icon

How to connect with an Ethernet cable:

For times when wireless connectivity is not an option computers and laptops allow you to make a connection to the internet using built-in Ethernet ports. A wired connection can offer a higher speed or more stability when the wireless signal is weak.

  1. Locate the Ethernet port on your computer or laptop. You will often find the port on the back of a computer system unit or on the side of a laptop. It is shaped to fit the plug of a standard network cable.

  1. Insert one end of the network cable into the Ethernet port, applying light pressure until you hear a click. This signifies that the cable is plugged in securely.

  1. Insert the other end of the network cable into one of the “LAN” or “Network” ports on the network router or hub.

  1. View the network connection status icon located on the computer's task bar. When connected to a wired network, your computer will automatically receive internet access without further configuration.

Please feel free to ask questions in your online lessons to ensure you are getting the best from your learning during lockdown.
